About
A solo piano recital at Wigmore Hall pairing Bach, Beethoven and Ravel, with works by Beethoven and Ravel heard in the pianist's own transcriptions. The pianist and composer Nicolas Namoradze, whose career breakthrough came in 2018 as winner of the triennial Honens International Piano Competition, brings his eloquent, open-hearted playing together with his gift for idiomatic arrangements. The programme includes Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 22 in F Op. 54 and Grosse Fuge in B flat Op. 133, Bach's Preludes and Fugues Nos. 13 and 14 from The Well-tempered Clavier Book II, and Ravel's Miroirs and Daphnis and Chloé Fragments symphoniques Suite No. 2.
