Almamegretta - 30 years of Indubb

Almamegretta, a band blending Neapolitan musical tradition with Caribbean influences such as reggae, jungle, drum & bass and Southern Italy's tammurriata rhythms, perform live at EartH in Dalston. The concert marks the twentieth anniversary of Barezzi Festival, which comes to the UK for the first time, and the thirtieth anniversary of Almamegretta's 1996 album "Indubb", a collection of reworked and remixed tracks made with guests including Bill Laswell and Adrian Sherwood. It follows earlier "Barezzi Way" events such as the one with Einstürzende Neubauten, and the band return to London, the city where the idea of their new musical language first emerged. The festival, whose twentieth edition also features artists like Peter Hook & The Light, Arab Strap, Sleaford Mods, Glen Hansard, John Grant and Gaia Banfi, aims to build bridges between music and culture, places and people.
