Andreas Gefeller | Surface Tension

Surface Tension is a solo exhibition of photographs by Andreas Gefeller at Atlas Gallery, showing new and recent works from four series alongside several premiere pieces. The German photographer, born in 1970, explores how we understand a world where what we see no longer tells the whole story. Moving between natural phenomena, urban environments, water, light and the invisible systems of the digital world, he examines the shifting boundary between the real and the constructed, the visible and the imperceptible. The show is both an exploration of photography and a reflection on our changing relationship with a world increasingly shaped by technology, data and artificial intelligence.
