About
David and his fiancée Meg prepare for a Shabbat dinner in New York City where their families meet for the first time. Meg, a convert to Judaism, faces challenges from David's overbearing 'Jewish-Mother' and the rest of his quirky family. The dinner takes a shocking turn when an unexpected death occurs, forcing the family to hide the incident from Meg's unexpectedly arriving Catholic parents. Subtitles are available.

Critics
5.2Mixed
Critics praise the strong ensemble cast, especially the hilarious overbearing mother, and the film's fast pacing and big laughs. They fault a stale, sitcom-like premise and overly familiar Meet the Parents-style material that makes the comedy hit and miss.
