About
A four-evening beginners' kayaking induction programme held on Tuesday nights in November. Tower Hamlets Canoe Club's volunteer instructors introduce newcomers to the club, its facilities and the basics of paddling on Shadwell Basin, covering what is needed for the Paddle UK Discover Award. The sessions introduce different boats and end with a free BBQ to meet the club; afterwards participants can choose to continue their membership. Arrive at 6.30 pm each Tuesday with appropriate clothing and footwear; it is for ages 18+ and you should be able to swim 50m independently.
