About

A practical in-person workshop helping freelance artists, micro-businesses and Community Interest Companies understand their UK tax, record-keeping and filing responsibilities. It is led by Kenneth Tsang, a Chartered Accountant and founder of London-based Tika Accountancy, as part of Bow Arts' Bow Skills programme of professional development for creative practitioners. The session covers tax filing requirements, how taxable profits and liabilities are calculated, Making Tax Digital, allowable business expenses, and the differences between sole traders, limited companies and CICs. It ends with a Q&A where attendees can ask questions relevant to their own artistic practice.
