A hands-on ceramics workshop where participants shape their own pot from reclaimed London Clay. Ceramicist Neve Beill leads the session, which starts with an introduction and a guided walk through the Horniman Gardens to learn about the earth, soil, and London Clay beneath the city. Back in the Pavilion, you learn traditional hand-building and coiling techniques, adding textures inspired by natural forms and historic pottery, using clay saved from local construction sites that would otherwise go to landfill. No previous experience is needed, and the finished pot is fired after the workshop for collection later.
