The Wallace Collection, Manchester Square, W1U 3BN London, Marylebone
About
Churchill’s Palate: A Talk and Tasting Event is a talk with a tasting of drinks associated with Winston Churchill, held in the theatre of the museum and online on Zoom. Award-winning journalist Harry Wallop reflects on an assignment to match Churchill’s daily alcoholic intake drink for drink, joined by experts from The Whisky Exchange. After the talk, three of Churchill’s favourite drinks are served: Hine Rare and Prunier XO Cognacs and Ararat Dvin Brandy, the latter famously presented to Churchill by Joseph Stalin at the 1945 Yalta Conference. Attendees can also visit the exhibition Winston Churchill: The Painter until 20.30.
