About
The Croonian Prize Lecture is an awards talk hosted at the Royal Society in London. Dr David Baker, a Nobel laureate and Director of the Institute for Protein Design at the University of Washington, receives the 2026 Croonian Medal for pioneering the design of completely new proteins. His lab uses deep learning to design new proteins from scratch to address problems not faced during evolution. In the talk he will describe designing proteins to address current challenges in health, technology, and sustainability.
