About
Film Africa 2026 is a festival of African cinema taking place across London, opening and closing at BFI Southbank. It is run by the Royal African Society and returns from 23 October to 1 November 2026. The programme brings together new voices, established filmmakers and essential works from across Africa and its diasporas, spanning features, documentaries, shorts, retrospectives and conversations. Highlights include a special screening and conversation honouring Tunisian filmmaker Férid Boughedir, whose documentaries Caméra d'Afrique and Caméra Arabe are landmark works on African and Arab cinemas.
