About

Flip, Spin and Flicker- Victorian Animation! is a drop-in craft activity at the Florence Nightingale Museum exploring the very early forms of motion pictures. Before the television, even before the big screen, the Victorians had their own inventions to capture their eyes and imaginations. Visitors can make their own Victorian animation by designing a thaumatrope or adding an image to the museum's community flip book. The activity is free with admission.
