Foreign correspondents in Taiwan's diplomatic ecosystem: role awareness, identity, and contested statehood
SOAS University of London, Bloomsbury
About
A seminar at SOAS University of London on the role of foreign correspondents in Taiwan. The Centre of Taiwan Studies welcomes alumnus Tommy Hall, whose research examines news media and international politics in Taiwan. The talk explores how international journalism intersects with diplomacy and cross-Strait politics, and how correspondents contribute to diplomacy in a so-called 'contested' state.
