About

Gengis Don plays Ronnie Scott's as part of the EFG London Jazz Festival's celebration of jazz clubs, his London debut. The Brooklyn-born drummer, producer and artist brings a four-piece band for a high-energy meeting of jazz, hip-hop and groove shaped by his Brooklyn roots. His sound moves freely between hip-hop and jazz, with lyrics, melody and rhythm treated as parts of the same conversation. At just 30, he has collaborated with Bilal, A$AP Ferg, Georgia Anne Muldrow, Marquis Hill, Christian McBride and many others.
