About

An exhibition of artworks built from maps and plant material, titled 'Landscape would be the wrong word', shown at the Everard Read gallery in London. It is the first exhibition there by Gerhard Marx, a South African artist who fragments and reassembles maps and draws with grafted and embedded plant fragments. The works question how maps and drawings shape how we see the world, and explore landscape drawing made from within the landscape itself. The exhibition runs from 14 October to 7 November.
