About

HELD BY TREES is a live concert by the band Held By Trees at the Chats Palace arts centre. The band's debut album Solace (2022) featured eight Talk Talk/Mark Hollis alumni alongside veterans of Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, Blur and Eric Bibb, drawing wide critical acclaim and BBC radio support. Its second album Hinterland (2025) features musicians from Supergrass, Slowdive, Swans, Primal Scream, Wire and My Bloody Valentine, plus Mark Hollis' son Charlie. The live band includes Robbie McIntosh (McCartney, Pretenders, Talk Talk), Laurence Pendrous on keyboards, Paul Beavis of The Waterboys on drums, and Andy Panayi on flute and sax.
