About

Home A Loan is a Korean horror film screening as part of a festival programme. Believing that an abandoned, semi-derelict building in Seoul will soon be redeveloped, Eun-jin (Yoo Seon) buys a third-floor apartment there for herself, her teen daughter Sung-hye (Lee Seo-yeon) and younger son Sung-ho (Lee Cheon-mu). When Eun-jin starts seeing and hearing things, her paranoia makes her a danger to all around her. Kim Tae-Kyeong's film keeps its plotting indeterminate: is Eun-jin crumbling under the pressures of work and solo-parenting, feeling the stresses of the property ladder, reliving past trauma, or is the building haunted?
