About

The Hope Working Group hosts a talk titled "Nihilism and Hope in Shakespeare's Macbeth and The Tempest" at the University of Westminster. The speaker is Seán Molloy, a Reader in International Relations at the University of Kent, who has also taught at Edinburgh, Glasgow and Sussex and published two books. He will discuss nihilism as a question in political thought and explore Shakespeare's articulation of it in Macbeth, before turning to more hopeful responses in The Tempest, where Prospero contrasts with Macbeth.
