Introducing Freud (3): Sexuality
Freud Museum London, Maresfield Gardens 20, NW3 5SX London, Belsize Park
£21.67 – £48.02
About
A two-day online course, the third of five six-hour courses introducing the work of Sigmund Freud, held over Zoom. It is led by Keith Barrett, a philosophy teacher who has taught courses at the Freud Museum for over a decade. The course examines Freud's theory of sexuality, including infantile sexuality, the Oedipus complex and his 'Three Essays on the Theory of Sexuality' (1905), and asks how his ideas have stood up to later critiques by thinkers such as Michel Foucault and Judith Butler.
