Jonah Who Will Be 25 in the Year 2000

A 50th-anniversary screening of Alain Tanner's 1976 Swiss film, shown as part of centenary celebrations for the writer John Berger. Co-written by Berger with the late Swiss director Tanner, it follows a disparate group of nonconformists and radicals from Geneva who gather at a rural retreat to reflect on the aftermath of May 1968 and what the future might hold. It stars Roger Jendly, Myriam Boyer, Jean-Luc Bideau and Miou-Miou, and is introduced by Gareth Evans. The screening is part of nationwide celebrations marking what would have been Berger's 100th birthday.
