Junior Climate Champions is a free after-school eco club for children aged 7-11, running in 90-minute workshops during term time. It is held at Grand Junction, a community, arts and culture venue based at St Mary Magdalene Church. The club inspires young minds to think about recycling, the environment and greening, and how they can improve their local area as young activists. Children get hands-on making art from recycled materials, going on local trips, litter picking, planting seeds and flowers, learning about edible plants, and creating podcasts and leaflets to share their ideas with the local community.
