About
A live music night at The Old Blue Last, presented by CLUB.THE.MAMMOTH and open to ages 18 and over. It is headlined by J. Zunz, the Mexican-based artist Lorena Quintanilla, also known from her work in Lorelle Meets The Obsolete, with Magda Drozd also on the lineup. J. Zunz presents material from her third album under that name, 'Obsidiana', a record inspired by obsidian rock that ranges from eerie ambience to dancefloor-adjacent and industrial sounds, with trumpet and synth contributions from Freddie Murphy of Father Murphy. Quintanilla describes the songs' intentions as to conjure, to exorcise, to strip away fear, to rediscover herself, to heal inherited sadness, and to reclaim the night.
