About

Lost Worlds is an immersive light and sound experience, a walking journey through the Old Royal Naval College's baroque buildings and grounds, including the Painted Hall, Chapel, Undercroft and Colonnades. It is created by Luxmuralis, the artistic duo of artist and sculptor Peter Walker and composer David Harper, following their earlier show Time at the same site. The experience invites visitors to discover imagined and historical lost worlds, from the mythical cities of Atlantis and Troy to the age of dinosaurs, prehistoric cave art, and the vivid worlds of knights, castles and illuminated manuscripts. As part of the Painted Hall's 300th anniversary, bespoke projections reimagine Sir James Thornhill's masterpiece onto Sir Christopher Wren's dome, transforming the landmark into a canvas of light.
