About

A lunchtime talk examining how architecture can engage with the obscured histories of extraction, displacement and transformation that lie beneath the ground. It brings together Angela Ka Ki Lee of HAAU and Sara Ibrahim and Suzan Ibrahim of SUSA, drawing on drawing, research, material experimentation and spatial design to reveal connections beyond a site's visible boundaries. Chaired by Kay Sedki of The Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL, the discussion treats ground as a dynamic, contested territory and asks how buried histories might be made tangible. The talk is free to attend, with booking recommended.
