About

Make Your Own Mini Sketchbook is a family drop-in workshop at the National Army Museum where children can make their very own sketchbook, perfect for drafting some mini masterpieces. It takes inspiration from the French artist Paul Sarrut, who travelled across France during the First World War making quick drawings of the soldiers he encountered along the way. The workshop runs in two drop-in sessions on a first come, first served basis, with no booking required, and is suitable for children aged 5+ who must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Visitors can also see many of Sarrut's sketches in the museum's exhibition Drawn on the Western Front: Paul Sarrut and the Indian Army.
