About

A free, open-to-all lecture at Imperial College London, part of a four-part Nelder Fellow lecture series held on Tuesday afternoons. Prof Ed Bueler of the University of Alaska Fairbanks gives the third lecture, titled 'Stokes glacier models with Firedrake: A tutorial'. The series introduces variational inequalities to a general applied mathematical audience, pursues their finite element solution, and applies them to a geophysical problem, including finding the extent of glaciation in a time- and space-varying climate. Admission is first come first served.
