About

A research seminar in stochastic analysis, open to all and free to attend, with entry on a first-come-first-served basis. The speaker is Prof. Dr. Matthias Erbar of Universität Bielefeld. His talk, 'Optimal transport and gradient flows for point processes', presents a theory of optimal transport for stationary random measures, focusing on stationary point processes, with notions of distance tied to continuous displacement of points and to birth-death dynamics, and characterisations of Brownian motion evolution and Glauber dynamics as gradient flows. It is held in room 410 of the Huxley Building on Imperial College London's South Kensington Campus.
