Wigmore Hall, Wigmore Street 36, W1G 9RG London, Marylebone
£18 (concessions £16)
About
A Sunday morning chamber recital of about one hour without interval, with coffee, sherry or juice included. Viola player Nils Mönkemeyer, praised for his artistry and innovative programming, returns with his regular duo partner, pianist William Youn. The programme pairs Brahms's mellow viola version of his Second Clarinet Sonata with works by Rebecca Clarke, who studied composition with Charles Villiers Stanford and viola with Lionel Tertis, including her Morpheus for viola and piano and her Viola Sonata.
