On Dangerous Ground: Nicholas Ray film noir with Ida Lupino.

A screening of the film noir "On Dangerous Ground" at The Cinema Museum. It was directed by Nicholas Ray and stars Ida Lupino and Robert Ryan. It follows a hardened New York detective assigned to a rural murder, where an encounter with a blind woman might turn his life around. As the city grit gives way to snowy landscapes, an early hand-held camera highlights his violence while Bernard Herrmann's score underscores the blind woman's vulnerability.
