Rays and Shadows: Xavier Giannoli film with Jean Dujardin.

"Rays and Shadows" is a screening of a French film at the Institut français du Royaume-Uni's Language Centre venue at 13 Cromwell Place in London. Directed by Xavier Giannoli and starring Jean Dujardin, it is based on the real story of Jean and Corinne Luchaire, a father and daughter caught up in the machinery of collaboration. It follows Jean, a French newspaperman, and Otto, a young German Francophile, committed to preserving peace in Europe; when war breaks out and France falls under German occupation, Jean becomes a powerful press baron advocating collaboration while Otto is appointed the Reich's Ambassador to Paris, and Jean's daughter Corinne sees her promising acting career transformed by the times.
