Bar Trash: SHARKNADO, cult tornado-vs-sharks film.

SHARKNADO is a disaster film in which a freak tornado swamps Los Angeles, sucking thousands of man-eating sharks into the vortex to terrorise the water-logged populace, while a group of survivors tries to destroy the deadly maelstrom themselves. First streamed to a modest audience on the Syfy Channel, it was propelled into cult film superstardom within 24 hours through social media, generating 5,000 tweets a minute at its peak. Energetically paced and deeply committed to its own absurdity, it retains its crown as the ultimate SyFy CGI shark battle.
