Silent Laughter Weekend: silent film comedy with live piano.

Silent Laughter Weekend 2026 is a two-day festival of silent film comedy at The Cinema Museum in London. It is presented by Kennington Bioscope, a series of silent film screenings with live musical accompaniment that has welcomed audiences to the museum for more than 10 years. The programme takes a deep dive into the world of silent comedy, featuring icons like Laurel & Hardy, Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton, Harry Langdon and Harold Lloyd, as well as unjustly forgotten performers like Marie Prevost, Max Linder, Charley Chase, Lloyd Hamilton and Anita Garvin. It includes rarities, premieres and showings on real celluloid, with films marking their centenary from 1926, live piano accompaniment from the UK's top accompanists, and introductions by silent film authors, enthusiasts, collectors and historians.
