Chris Lewis shows Jerry Lewis's home movies, with Q&A.
About
A special screening of Jerry Lewis's 16mm home movie productions, followed by a question-and-answer session. It is presented by Chris Lewis, Jerry Lewis's son and president of the American Wheelchair Mission, and organised and moderated by Charlotte Ross, curator of I'll Say She Is. The programme offers highlights of the home movies Lewis wrote and directed with his close friends more than a decade before his directorial debut The Bellboy (1960), including the full films An Eye For An Eye and Come Back Little Shiksa and excerpts from parties and premieres at his Pacific Palisades home. Before the screening, Chris Lewis signs copies of his book Jerry Lewis on Being a Person, with proceeds going to the Cinema Museum's fundraiser.
