Teens Creative Writing Club: write together, ages 14-18.

A free creative writing club for young writers aged 14-18, held in the Baring Room at Manor House Library on the first Thursday of each month. The group is run by Calico Libraries, with questions and access needs handled by Mariana via [email protected]. Each session offers a warm-up, reading examples of mostly contemporary writing, a casual conversation about form, technique and emotion, and time to write together with snacks, tea and chances for peer feedback. No experience is needed, there is no homework or advance reading, all materials are provided, and last year's writers contributed to a published pamphlet and performed at a showcase, which the group hopes to repeat.
