TESTING GROUND is an open mic night of poetry, music and performance at Bàrd Books, where anyone can sign up at the door for a slot, assigned on a lottery basis. It is a welcoming night for first-timers and seasoned performers alike to try out new things. This edition features headline guest Cia Mangat, a London writer and zinemaker whose work has appeared in fourteen poems, gal-dem, Propel and bath magg, been broadcast by the BBC, and whose debut pamphlet is Lobe. She founded and edits Zindabad, a zine for people in diasporas worldwide, and facilitates writing and zine-making workshops.
