About
A talk in the DPU Dialogues in Development series about everyday socio-environmental struggles in the peripheries of São Paulo, at the intersection of housing exclusion and environmental crisis. It features Dr Lucas Lerchs, a postdoctoral fellow at the Bartlett Development Planning Unit, and is chaired by Dr Giovanna Astolfo. The research explores how everyday inhabitation processes of ecological reserves are co-produced and transformed by conditions of socio-ecological marginalisation. The talk is followed by a 30-minute screening of a documentary filmed in the periphery of São Paulo.
