The Night is Fading Away

The Night is Fading Away is a film from Argentina directed by Ramiro Sonzini and Ezequiel Salinas. It follows Pelu, a thirty-something projectionist at a cinema belonging to Cordoba's city hall who loses his job to budget cuts and ends up secretly living inside the building as its night watchman. There he forms a small after-hours community with three informal homeless parking attendants he lets sleep there and Vale, a former friend who records videos for her OnlyFans channel in the screening room. Their fragile community is threatened by the precarious economic conditions and a broader crisis that could shut the cinema down.
