Critics
7.7Very good
Critics praise the film's restrained, atmospheric chills, confident direction, subtle suggestion over gore, and Nicole Kidman's pitch-perfect lead performance. Faults mentioned are a cluttered, confusing later stretch and style that sometimes substitutes for substance.
