About
An immersive talk exploring the science behind electronic music and dancing, from neuroscience and physiology to ritual and rave culture. It is led by Emma Marshall, founder of MIM HQ, a research platform on music, rhythm, movement and human health who is undertaking a PhD on electronic music's impact on body and mind. Drawing on live research inside nightclubs including Drumsheds, she unpacks how rhythm, repetition, bass and collective movement shape emotion, stress, connection and sense of self. The session welcomes music lovers, creatives, students, brands, venues and industry professionals.
