About
Windows into the Unseen is a free month-long exhibition in a public library, filling its windows and public-facing spaces with work by 16 women activist artists. It is presented by Sheroes Collective, an arts organisation that uses art by women activist artists to celebrate women and raise awareness about gender-based violence. The exhibition marks the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence, bringing hidden and normalised forms of violence against women and girls into public view. Alongside installations and window interventions, it offers creative workshops and talks that create spaces for reflection, care and action.
