About
Asako I & II is a 2019 film by director Ryûsuke Hamaguchi. As a student in Osaka, Asako falls in love with a drifter named Baku, who one day vanishes from her life. Two years later in Tokyo she meets Ryohei, a businessman who is Baku's double in every respect but personality, and they begin building a life together—until circumstances force Asako to confront her lingering love affair with a half-ghost fantasy.
