About

ASTORIA is a play having its world premiere at Theater for the New City. It was written by Richard Ploetz and is directed by Mark Finley, and follows Michael, a writer who chronicles his multi-generational family during weekly dinners at his grandmother Helen's longtime apartment. When Helen falls and Michael considers moving her to a nursing home, his estranged father Walter arrives, reopening old wounds and competing versions of the family's history. The cast includes David Leeper as Michael, Steve Hauck as Walter, ReW Starr as Helen, Mary Ruth Baggott, and Gary Ray Bugarcic.
