Breathe Deep NYC: free lung screens at Pier 17.

Breathe Deep NYC is a health event at Pier 17 in the Financial District that kicks off Lung Cancer Awareness Month. Weill Cornell Medicine's Health Screening Van partners with LUNGevity to offer early detection and health education services, including lung screens. The lung screens use a low-dose CT scan to take detailed images of the lungs and can catch cancer early before symptoms begin. Pre-screening and an appointment are required, and screening is usually fully covered by insurance for eligible individuals.
