Carrie Moyer

Carrie Moyer's work appears in the group exhibition 'Gender, Genre, Generation: Women Painting Abstraction', on view from August 15, 2026 to January 3, 2027. The show brings together recent paintings by four female painters of the same generation — Candida Alvarez, Rochelle Feinstein, Carrie Moyer, and Amy Sillman — who have also spent decades as art school professors. It explores how abstraction can still address issues in aesthetics and politics, with the artists building their own visual languages grounded in their lived experience as gendered and political beings in American society.
