About
Crystal Voyager is a documentary film about the sea and surfing. Director David Elfick, co-founder of the Australian surf magazine Tracks, follows photographer, filmmaker, and avid surfer George Greenough, along with fellow wave-chasers Nat Young and Richie West, on a quest for secluded surf spots from coastal California to Lennox Head, New South Wales, and points even further afield. Called 'the Citizen Kane of surfing pictures' by The Guardian, the film is a heady paean to sun and water whose fisheye tube-riding POV shots were received as revolutionary, and whose psychedelic soundtrack by The Crystal Voyager Band won it an ardent following in counterculture hot spots worldwide.
