About

Design Night | Sketching from Nature is a sensory-friendly evening of structured fun at the museum, designed for adult visitors who identify as Autistic or with a range of sensory, learning, and developmental disabilities. Hosted by Cooper Hewitt, it invites participants to engage in the creative process of sketching from nature inspired by the Church in Jamaica exhibition through interactive experiences, conversation, and creativity. The night offers a guided 30-minute tour of the exhibition led by museum staff, a hands-on creative activity, wine, drinks, and snacks, and a quiet Break Room for those who need a rest. The museum will be closed to the public, is fully wheelchair accessible, and registration is required for this free program.
