About

Downstate is a Broadway play staged at the Booth Theatre in a strictly limited 12-week engagement. It was written by Bruce Norris, winner of the New York Drama Critics' Circle Award for Best Play, and is directed by three-time Tony Award winner Joe Mantello. The story follows four men convicted of sex crimes against minors who live together in a state-sanctioned group home after serving their prison sentences; when a survivor arrives to confront his abuser, the encounter triggers a catastrophic chain reaction. The cast includes Cassie Beck, K. Todd Freeman, Francis Guinan, Adrian Martinez, Al'Jaleel McGhee, Thomas Sadoski, Ivy Wolk, and Liza Colón-Zayas.
