Eleanor Alberga: The String Quartet Cycle with support from Solaris

A chamber music evening featuring the U.S. premiere performance cycle of Eleanor Alberga's Three String Quartets and the world premiere of her Second Piano Quintet. The Green Room Ensemble presents the works, with the composer Eleanor Alberga herself at the piano. Alberga, an OBE-honored British composer and pianist born in Kingston, Jamaica, wrote quartets varied in style and tone that stand as a major contribution to the genre. The program receives support from Solaris, a group of Yale graduate students who stage immersive classical music experiences in unconventional spaces.
