Eri Yamamoto Duo

Eri Yamamoto Duo is a live jazz performance at Arthur's Tavern in New York City. It features pianist and composer Eri Yamamoto, who moved to the United States in 1995 and has become one of jazz's most original and compelling pianists, earning praise from Herbie Hancock, who said she has found her own voice. Over the past twenty-six years she has shared her uniquely lyrical and evocative music with listeners in New York City and around the world, and in 2018 premiered the Goshu Ondo Suite, an acclaimed extended work drawing on Japanese folk music, American jazz, gospel, blues, and Congolese drum rhythms. She has also collaborated with celebrated musicians including William Parker, Daniel Carter, Hamid Drake, and Paul McCandless.
