Hearth & Harvest Festival is a day of Native American dance, storytelling, and crafts celebrating harvest traditions that have been part of Native culture for thousands of years. It is presented by Historic Richmond Town, whose costumed educators demonstrate hearth cooking with 18th and 19th century recipes, tools, and techniques in historic kitchens throughout the village. Visitors can explore indigenous life and culture in the 3rd County Courthouse and the Native Encampment. The festival also honors how gathered crops were shared with family and community, signaling the beginning of winter.
