Hope D Bates is a live music show at Arthur's Tavern, a bar on Grove Street in New York's West Village. Hope DeBates & North Forty play a diverse mix of country classics, alt country originals, 70s and 80s pop covers, plus some R&B and jazz standards, all with a creative and unique approach. Hope has been based in NYC since 1986 and has worked with musicians ranging from avant-garde pianist Cecil Taylor to Gordon Gano of the Violent Femmes. The members of the North Forty are a rotating cast of accomplished NYC musicians who keep the music fresh with their own styles and interpretations.
